Some people make right decisions and some people make wrong decisions.  There is a good way and there is an evil way.  Although we are not the judge of men’s souls, we must study to discern the difference between the way of truth and the way of error.

Proverbs 14:12 - There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

No man can know God or His will except He reveal Himself to the man.  God and His will can only be known by divine revelation.  Many men have studied the Bible and expressed their beliefs based upon the theories of their own intellectual analysis and deductions.  This human exercise, although often sincere, is generally faulty and full of error.

Satan has some people who willingly and knowingly teach doctrine which is contrary to the truth of the Holy Scriptures.  They are enemies of Christ and His church.

Jude v.4 - For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

There have always been evil men and there always will be evil in this world.  Satan plants them in congregations to turn people out of the truth and into the way of destruction.

1 John 4:6 - We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

People who love God will be able to have fellowship with others who love God.  If you do not have enough grace to be longsuffering, gentle, courteous, respectful and loving to a person who is walking in all the light of truth which has been revealed to him, then you need to check your own salvation and sanctification.

2 Peter 3:17 - Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

You can be tempted to stray away from the truth.  Satan works little by little to deceive and turn aside the child of God from the way of truth.  Many wicked people use fancy words and enticing speeches to lead you from truth into error.

James 5:20 - Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

A sinner commits sin.  A saint lives holy, pure, free from sin.  If by your chaste conversation and holy example, you can turn someone from the error of their way and into the way of truth, you will have done the will of God.

Revelation 16:13 - And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

The “three unclean spirits like frogs” are the spirits of the three beasts, which are Heathenism (Dragon), Catholicism (Leopard like beast) and Protestantism (Lamb like beast).  These false religions are the instruments of Satan as he works confusion and error in the minds of the people.

Revelation 19:20 - And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

All these religious systems will be cast in an eternal hell, the lake of fire which burns night and day with brimstone.  If you follow the counsel of these religious systems, then you also will be cast into the Lake of Fire.

Revelation 20:10 - And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Satan is not just “a devil” he is “the devil” which is cast into the Lake of Fire and brimstone.

Matthew 7:15 - Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

False prophets teach erroneous religious doctrines.  They are often very educated and diligent students of the Bible.  They wrestle and twist the scriptures to seem to say what they teach.

Matthew 24:11 - And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

Are there few or many false prophets?  This scripture tells us that there are many false prophets and consequently there are many deceived.  Are you deceived by some false prophet?

Matthew 24:24 - For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Are miracles a sure sign that someone has power with God?  NO!  Does Satan have power to work miracles?  Yes.  Satan has the liberty and ability to perform supernatural works.  If a minister is not living a holy life, free from all willful sin, then do not follow him nor believe what he teaches, regardless of the works which seem to indicate that God is answering his prayers.  God will not put His glory on a sinner, nor use the sinner to be a testimony of His divine power.

Mark 13:22 - For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

We, the elect children of God, are warned to be alert and watchful lest the false prophets deceive us with their false christs which they say will accept you as a child of God while still living a sinful life.

Acts 13:6 - And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Barjesus:

Don’t think that all of the false prophets are historical.  We have many false prophets teaching millions in congregations all over the world.

2 Corinthians 11:13 - For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

If a false prophet transforms himself into what seems to be an apostle of Christ, will you be able to recognize him for the deceitful person he is?

2 Corinthians 11:26 - In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren;

False brethren are a peril to your soul.  They will accuse, condemn, criticize and persecute you for your stand for holiness.

3 John v.9 - I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not.

The gentle, loving apostle John, the disciple whom Jesus loved, identified a false prophet by name.  He recorded his name in this epistle which has been published to all the world. Sometimes God will have us mark certain men who cause division and hurt to the church of God.

3 John v.10 - Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth them out of the church.

The apostle John warns those who falsely accuse and cause division in the congregation.  There will be judgment and chastisement against those who do these wicked works.

Are you walking in the way of error?

Are you walking in the way of truth?

Someday you will give an account for how you have lived your life.

Are you ready to meet Jesus with your record?

Proverbs 3:13-18

13 Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.

14 For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.

15 She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.

16 Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour.

17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.

18 She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.

Happy is the man that findeth wisdom.  The poor man, the rich man, the learned man, the common man, every man is made happy when he finds wisdom.  Wisdom and understanding will make you happy.

Wisdom and understanding only come from God as He sends the Holy Spirit to enlighten the mind.  Wisdom and understanding do not come from the mind and heart of men.

Jeremiah 10:23

O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.

Wisdom and understanding does not originate from within a man’s mind.

The doctrines of men are the opinions of men which are presented as instructions in the way of truth.  The Holy Spirit is the source of every revelation of truth.  You must exercise yourself in thought and meditation.  But when you think, you absolutely must have the help of the Holy Spirit to direct your thoughts else you will be led astray by your own thinking.

Psalms 37:23

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.

If you will depart from all iniquity and seek the Lord Jesus Christ with all your heart, the Holy Spirit will come to you and guide you into all truth.

1 Corinthians 2:9-14

9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

Is it not clear to you that wisdom and understanding comes only from God and never from the mind of men.  Every word of truth you know has been given to you by the Spirit of God.

Psalms 119:133

133 Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.

The Holy Spirit will lead you to the Word of God, for the Holy Spirit will not speak of Himself, but will teach you what the Word has said.

John 16:12-15

12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

Who is our spiritual guide and teacher?  The Holy Spirit.  As a minister of God, I have been sent to teach people and lead them to an understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ.  I can only do that properly as the Holy Spirit leads me in my understanding.  If the Holy Spirit is not leading me in truth, then I can not lead you in truth.  When I lead you in truth, it then becomes your responsibility to meditate and pray that the Holy Spirit would witness to you that what I have said is truth. I am responsible to God for what I teach you, but you are responsible to God for what you believe.

If a man be not led of God and teach you error and you believe that man and his false doctrine then both you and the person teaching you will be guilty.  God will not let you be deceived to the determent of your soul without first giving you warnings from the Holy Spirit.

Every good talent, every good ability, every good gift with all wisdom and understanding is a gift from God.  Every good thing comes from God.  If you are a skillful musician, God gave it to you.  If you are a physically strong, hard working person, God gave you that strength.  If you are a talented craftsman of any sort, God gave that ability to you.  It is a sin for you to be proud of who you are as if you have made yourself what you are.

Exodus 35:29-35

29 The children of Israel brought a willing offering unto the Lord, every man and woman, whose heart made them willing to bring for all manner of work, which the Lord had commanded to be made by the hand of Moses.

30 And Moses said unto the children of Israel, See, the Lord hath called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah;

31 And he hath filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship;

32 And to devise curious works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass,

33 And in the cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of wood, to make any manner of cunning work.

34 And he hath put in his heart that he may teach, both he, and Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan.

35 Them hath he filled with wisdom of heart, to work all manner of work, of the engraver, and of the cunning workman, and of the embroiderer, in blue, and in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen, and of the weaver, even of them that do any work, and of those that devise cunning work.

Where is your right to be proud of what you are?  Did you make yourself?  Yes, you have an important part in being who you are and in putting forth the effort to develop and use what God has given you; but, you did not make yourself.  There is no such thing as a “self-made man.”

You and I did not become who we are today without many teachers.  The good in our life has come to us by the aid of God and the good teachers He has sent to teach us good things.

God has made you and He wants to teach you all things that will bring good into your life.

James 1:16-27

16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.

17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:

24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.

25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.

27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

Proverbs 4:5-11

5 Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.

6 Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.

7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

8 Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.

9 She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.

10 Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many.

11 I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths.

In sincerity and with humility, I have spoken to you the words of truth.

Dear Readers,

I have not posted any new messages in several weeks due to the fact that my laptop computer hard drive crashed and I have not had a good way to study, prepare messages and post to the internet.  I am currently using an inexpensive tablet which allows me some limited ability to communicate.  I hope to be able to purchase a new computer next month at which time I will be able to return to my blog site activity.

I have posted over 400 messages on my blog site.  This site is searchable.  There is a search window at the top left side of the blog page in which you may type a key word and it will list all the postings which mention or discuss that subject.

There is a commentary on the entire book of The Revelation.  There is a series of messages on my understanding of how God may use the people of Africa in a great end time revival.  My views and opinions on the subject of Africa is part of the root cause of my being excommunicated from the congregation where I pastored for sixteen years.

There are several messages on the subject of Sanctification as a definite second work of grace.  This vital part of the plan of salvation and its absence from the experience of many is directly associated with the carnal acts of men and women who profess to be saved yet continue to act carnal and fleshly in their relations with others.  An un-sanctified congregation will not prosper on winning souls to Christ, neither will God put His glory and power upon such a people.
