The Way of Truth

Psalms 119:30-32
30 I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid before me.
31 I have stuck unto thy testimonies: O Lord, put me not to shame.
32 I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart.

King David said:  “I have chosen the way of truth.”  What do you say?  When God reveals truth to us, we ought to accept the truth.  It is a choice we ought to make.  We are not forced to accept the truth.  We cannot walk in the way of truth grudgingly.  God only accepts a willing sacrifice.  Your obedience must be willingly and voluntary.  Your present life conditions are the consequence of the sum of all your past decisions.  Because of your desires, you have come to where you are today.

God does not want us to try to make someone accept and obey the truth.  He wants us to teach them and be an example of the joy and blessings of truth that we will cause them to be hungry and thirsty for the truth.

We must seek for the way of truth and when we find it, we must pay the price to possess it.

Matthew 13:44-45
44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.
45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:
46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

Have you paid the price to purchase the truth?  You must be willing to give up all that Jesus may ask you to give up to purchase this “Pearl of Great Price.”  You must repent of all your sins, turn from them and forsake them gladly.  You must have godly sorrow and a broken and contrite heart for the evil and selfish transgressions you have done against God.  If you seek God with all humility and desire, you will find Him and He will reveal Himself to you.

Revelation 17:1-5
And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: 2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, And the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:

Don’t be deceived by the fact that false religion, Babylon, has some knowledge and teaching of truth.  False religion has some truth but Babylon is not built upon or founded upon truth.  False prophets may work some miracles and lying wonders, but their spirit is not right.  Their doctrine is not right.  Their motivation and purpose is not right.

John 3:18-21
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

The way of truth is the way of the Gospel of Jesus the Christ, the Son of God.  The New Testament is the testimony of Jesus Christ.  It contains all the righteous principles we need to know to live holy and pleasing to God.  There is no other way of truth.  Jesus said:

John 14:6,7
6 I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

These are the words of Jesus Christ and they are truth.  No man can come unto God the Father except by faith and obedience to Jesus Christ.  No other religion can give you access to God or eternal life in Heaven.  There are not many ways to heaven.  There is only one way of truth.  There are many religions and many cults, but there is only one way of truth.

There have been many evil men who have done many evil deeds in the name of Christ, but they were not the way of truth.  Remember, Jesus said that there would be many Christs and many false ways.

Luke 17:20-23
20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
22 And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it.
23 And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them.

Will these things happen in our day?  Yes, they have happened again and again since the day Jesus spoke these warnings.  The Kingdom of God has come to every person who has received salvation through faith and obedience to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  We are not waiting for the Kingdom of God to be established in the literal nation of Israel.  It has already been established in Mt. Zion, the heavenly Jerusalem, the church of the living God where all of God’s servants serve Him in cheerful obedience.  The Kingdom of God is within you, if you keep the commandments of Jesus Christ.

Psalms 89:13-18
13 Thou hast a mighty arm: strong is thy hand, and high is thy right hand.
14 Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.
15 Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O Lord, in the light of thy countenance.
16 In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted.
17 For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted.
18 For the Lord is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.

The place where God dwells is full of justice and judgment and mercy and truth.  Not one of these four characteristics can be omitted and God be pleased to dwell that temple.  In all of our ways and relationships, we must have justice, judgment, mercy and truth.  If you omit any one of these, you will grieve the Holy Spirit and He will leave you because you have first left the way of truth.

Proverbs 23:23
Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.
If you are sincerely looking for truth, you will pay the price to buy it.  After you have made a covenant agreement with Jesus Christ, don’t backslide away from your covenant.  Never sell the truth for anything in this world.  It is worth more than any other gain you may be tempted to trade for the truth.
