A person's conduct is a witness to their character.
You will know a person's character by his conduct.
A righteous man will not produce evil, sinful conduct.
A sinful man will not produce righteous, holy conduct.
A righteous man will not be covetous of another man's possessions.
A sinful man will not love others with a righteous motive and attitude.
A sinful man will produce sin.
A righteous man will not commit sin.
These are the true teachings of Jesus Christ and His disciples.
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.
34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
You are what you do. Your actions are a reflection of your attitudes. You do what is in your heart. If your heart is evil, you will do evil. If your heart is holy, pure, clean, justified, then you are made free from evil deeds and desires.
1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
Don't deceive yourself or allow someone to deceive you. What you do, whatever your conduct is; that is who you are. If you disobey the Holy Spirit who teaches you all things, then you are an evil person. If you obey the voice of the Holy Spirit and keep His counsel and commands, then you are holy, blameless and justified before God.
1 John 3:1-6
3 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
11 For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
A sinful man is known by his conduct, his actions and attitudes.
A righteous man is also known by his conduct, his actions and attitudes.
A sinner will commit sin and be condemned.
A righteous man will do good and not evil.
26 Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.
27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,
28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.
29 And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloke forbid not to take thy coat also.
30 Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.
31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.
32 For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.
33 And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.
What kind of attitudes and actions do you have toward those who oppose you and speak evil of you? Can you really love them and do good to them? Your actions and attitudes toward those who oppose you are a measurable indication of how much grace you have. A justified, yet un-sanctified person, will have a real struggle with his attitudes and actions toward his opposers.
17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
If you know what you ought to do, in any situation or circumstance, but you rebel and refuse to do it, you are rebellious and disobedient and you are not saved. You are a sinner in need of repentance.
Do good and be good. Obey the voice of God and be ye holy, today.
